The Voice of  Mudug Radio, thanks to the generous contributions of the Mr Mohamed Adan of Galmudug State origin, started broadcasting on 30/08/2006.

Notwithstanding the understandably financial and human resource constraints, the Radio through considerable efforts has became the most powerful and popular FM Radio in Galkayo, according to a very recent survey.

This due in part to the fact that, unlike other Radios which uses short antennas and controlled by State governments, Voice of  Mudug use a 60-meter long antenna and free from any political also,  primarily in due to the variety and contents of its socially oriented programmes that are on the air for 14- hours daily.  The featured programmes include health, education, reconciliation, peace and security, religious, culture, environment, equality of humankind, rehabilitation commentaries and analysis (this include topic mightily selected by listeners themselves).
